Product Description
The DP-200 Dual Probe magnetic crack detector (sometimes called “magnetic yoke”) will detect flaws in ferro-magnetic materials without electricity, batteries or a power source of any kind. Using the magnetic particle method, where the path of the magnetic field is broken by a crack or flaw, a miniature ‘sub-magnetic” field is created with separate north and south poles. When finely divided iron is sprinkled in the area – it is immediately drawn to the crack or defect. The Dual Probes can detect surface and sub-surface defects such as; stress corrosion cracks, lack of fusion, fatigue cracks, tears, seams and cold laps.
